Meet Sandra
Sandra Smith is a senior finance executive with over 20 years of experience leading high-growth, founder-led companies through strategic transitions, scale-ups, and exits. Most recently, she served as VP of Finance at Level Ex, a medical video game company where she led the finance and accounting function—owning financial strategy, planning, operations, and reporting.
Sandra joined shortly after the company’s acquisition by Brainlab and went on to play a key leadership role in the successful sale of Level Ex’s pharma division to Relevate Health. She led financial due diligence, supported legal and operational workstreams, and helped execute a smooth transition across organizations.
Sandra blends strategic insight with hands-on execution—helping founders get investor-ready, scale operations, and make confident decisions about pricing, hiring, and capital allocation.
Sandra holds an MBA from Indiana University South Bend and a Master’s in Accounting and Financial Management from DeVry University—providing a strong academic foundation to complement her executive experience. She is fluent in both English and Spanish, allowing her to work seamlessly across diverse teams and global business environments.
She has supported companies with global reach and distributed teams, giving her a solid understanding of international operations and cross-border financial dynamics.
Beyond the Numbers
When she’s not helping founders grow and solve complex problems, Sandra enjoys traveling the world, great food, family time (including her beloved dog), and returning to Colombia—a place that keeps her grounded and inspired. She also believes clear thinking comes from movement—whether that’s a long walk, a tough workout, or an early morning bike ride.
